You've been Boo'd Neighborhood Kindness Game

Halloween is so fun! I am always blown away at how creative people are with their decorations, costumes, and food.  Halloween is also a great time to start a random acts of kindness chain. Have you heard of Booing your neighbors or seen You've been Boo'd signs in their windows?

The first time we participated in a neighborhood boo, we lived in a small community in the North East corner of Utah. We'd only lived there a couple weeks when there was a knock at our door. We were totally surprised to find a basket filled with Halloween treats and goodies along with this cute note.

So, we ate the treat and the next day we followed the directions, getting two copies and making two treats to secretly deliver to TWO neighbors who hadn't been Boo'd yet. At that time, we only had one boy, and I was uncomfortably pregnant with the second. So there was no change I was doing anything sneaky. My husband and son took the treats and found neighbors who didn't have their signs up. Careful not to give away the surprise, they rang the doorbell and ran. Success!

Over the next couple weeks, it was fun watching ghost signs popping up on doors and in windows all over the block. Now, since we are brand new in this neighborhood, we thought it might be a fun tradition to start here. We'll see how it goes.

Have you participated in Booing? I'd love to hear from you!
