Double Chocolate Mint Cookies

Mint and chocolate are soooo good together. Especially in winter. I love how the cool mint and sweet chocolate always remind me of snow days. This yummy cookie recipe is a hit wherever I take it. People always ask for the recipe. With upcoming cookie exchanges, you'll want to keep this one. 

You will need:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package Nestle Dark and Mint baking chips
1/2 package vanilla baking chips

Preheat oven to 350. Cream together butter, shortening, and sugars until light and airy. Add eggs and beat until well incorporated. Add dry ingredients into a separate bowl, whisk. Then gradually mix into other mixture. Fold in chocolate baking chips. Drop on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 11-13 minutes.
